This yukata (summer kimono /bathrobe kimono) features elegant sesame colour slub linen/hemp base fabric, with traditional Choju-giga print.
Choju-giga is a famous set of four picture scrolls, belonging to Kozan-ji temple in Kyoto Japan, loosely translated as Frolicking animals and humans in English.
The original scrolls are usually thought to have been painted in the mid-12th century, whereas the third and fourth scrolls may well dated from the 13th century.
It is credited as the oldest work of Manga.
An extremely rare collector's piece.
