This kimono features peony and chrysanthemum pattern Rinzu silk fabric base, with hand painting and partial embroidery classical motifs like peony, plum blossom, pine, bamboo leaves, boat and pagoda.
Katabami kamon embroidered at central back roots back to the ancient warrior class.
Katabami means a wooden sorrel, because the traditional use of its leaves to polish bronze mirror and the strong reproductive quality of its fruits, it is highly favoured by warriors as an auspicious token.
