Obiage is traditionally worn together with obi.
Some people now use obiage only as belt when they wear kimono casually as robe. Or as scarf and hair accessory.
This obiage features Karasansui (zen rock garden) patterned damask silk, with excellent texture and very subtle cream into gardenia ombre.
The pattern presents ripples in water and therefore makes it a perfect match for most of kimonos/dresses with flower and garden motifs.
